Wild West Epilepsy Shootout


We excited to announce our annual Wild West Epilepsy Shootout Sporting Clays Tournament! On Friday, September 1, 2017, we invite you to join us for this fun event to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation Texas at the Lubbock Shooting Complex just south of town at 1475 County Rd. 1. This entertaining, unique event will feature a 12 Stand Sporting Clays Tournament and challenge shot side games. At noon we will have lunch and registration with the shoot beginning at 1:00 p.m. There will be an open bar after the tournament that offers networking opportunities for participants and sponsors. The Great Epilepsy Steakout 

The Epilepsy Foundation Texas – West Texas is excited to announce our seventh annual Great Epilepsy Steakout, to be held on September 30, 2017 at the Amarillo Civic Center. This Country Chic Gala will feature steak and food cooked by Smitty Brother BBQ, live entertainment by the Buster Bledsoe Band, casino games, as well as, a live and silent auction. Free, Accredited, Online! With this nationwide training, the Epilepsy Foundation Texas’ goal is to educate 800 school nurses across our service area by the end of the year! Please help us reach out to your school district to schedule a presentation or encourage them to take an online course! Ongoing – Online EMS Training

Free, Accredited, Online! Sign up at http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org/firstresponders/ and click: Access Trainings! Course code is 05. The EMS course, about 60 minutes in length, describes a variety of seizures associated with epilepsy, seizures with other potential causes, appropriate EMS response on scene, and issues to be considered when determining whether or not further medical care is warranted. CECBEMS- approved CE lesson will award 1.5 hours of continuing education credit upon successful completion.
