Texas Lions Camp
Mission of Camp Neuron®
Camp Neuron offers a safe and fun residential camping experience for children and teens living with epilepsy. The Epilepsy Foundation Texas provides this unique opportunity at no cost to families of children with epilepsy.
At Camp Neuron campers build self-esteem, create life-long friendships, participate in team building, and learn more about living with epilepsy.
Who can apply?
Children and teens, ages 8-14 with the primary diagnosis of epilepsy or seizure disorder.
Where is camp?
Camp Neuron takes place at the beautiful and fully accessible Texas Lions Camp located in Kerrville, Texas (60 miles NW of San Antonio).
Please contact the camp office at 888-548-9716 to discuss transportation assistance, if needed.
What do you do at camp?
Throughout the week, campers swim, boat, fish, take nature hikes, play group sports, and participate in arts and crafts projects.
Who is on staff?
At camp we are proud of our trained counselors (camper to counselor ratio is 3:1) and an outstanding team of medical professionals from Cook Children’s Hospital who are present during the entire week of camp. The staff allows our campers to have a safe, stable, and comfortable environment away from home.
